What we like- We went there in November, very nice weather and not too
touristic - the "Dolce Vita" atmosphere - No need of using any mean of transportation, the sites are all close to each other - The Italian language |
What we dislike- We heard about a Jazz tram, it seems great... but we missed the
opportunity to try it. - Restaurants are quite expensive and the quality is very disappointing Make sure you have to know the good places before coming to this city - 3 Days was a bit short - Make it 4 days! |
Our tips- To buy the Roma Pass at 20 euros for 3 days. It includes
transportation (subway + bus) and two visits are free (among a list of great landmarks). For the rest of the visits you can get discounts. - To go to the Tiramisu Bar Pompi, it is not situated in the touristic zone but it is worth the hassle: very popular place for the great Italian dessert! - To go to the Caffè Sant’Eustachio. Roman people go there all the time: no seat, people queue up, have their coffee at the bar and go to work just after. - Glacier San Crispino near the Trevi fountain - Do not go there during summer: too hot and crowdy - Make sure to hit the top of St. Peter's Basilica: amazing view - The best pizzeria that we found: Pizzeria Da Baffetto and Pizzeria Dar poeta - Make sure you take an appetizer in Plaza Navona - get a glass of Prosecco! |
